Configure within a supported platform
Custom procurement means selecting supported options for a specific manufacturer platform. It does not mean modifying a certified server arbitrarily. Start with the workload and chassis, then confirm the supported CPU, memory population, drive and adapter options.
Specify capacity rather than ambiguous component names
Separate GPU memory from host RAM, raw drive capacity from usable storage and installed drives from empty bays. Include boot redundancy, data-drive endurance, network fabric, optics, cable lengths and operating-system responsibility.
Use a controlled BOM
Send a current specification or describe what is still open. Mark mandatory part numbers and acceptable alternatives. Require written approval for substitutions and preserve the agreed revision through quotation, purchase and inspection.
Match the receiving facility
Have the data center confirm dimensions, loaded weight, power connections, cooling and maintenance access. Air-cooled and liquid-cooled systems need different infrastructure. Quote installation, commissioning and support separately when required.
Request a configuration review
Send your company, workload, preferred model, quantities, final site and target date. The published B300 examples are starting points for quotation, not pre-approved combinations for every project.
Plan your Asian deployment
Choose the actual installation market. Sourcing, technical suitability and supply eligibility are assessed for the buyer, end user and destination.
- United States: Request a dated allocation check for the exact system BOM, condition and quantity; a spot option is not a live inventory claim.
- United Arab Emirates: Name the applicant, beneficiary, proposed bank and documentary requirements for commercial review.
- Mainland China: Disclose the actual operator, final installation and intended use before discussing supply.
- Singapore: Identify the operating company separately from the regional purchasing headquarters.
- Malaysia: Identify the actual receiving facility, including the deployment city and rack readiness date.
- Indonesia: State the receiving city and facility; distinguish international delivery from onward domestic transport.
- Thailand: Separate the integrator purchasing the equipment from the company operating it.
- Vietnam: Identify the buyer, importing entity and ultimate operating company.
- Japan: Provide the exact platform part number and the receiving facility’s electrical and cooling specifications.
- South Korea: Identify the operator and end-user workload rather than providing only a trading-company address.
- Taiwan: Distinguish complete-server procurement from component sourcing or manufacturing enquiries.
- India: State explicitly that this is an India end-use project; supplier inspection in India is a separate requirement.
- Philippines: Specify the final facility and the complete domestic delivery route, not just an arrival port.
- Hong Kong: Distinguish deployment in Hong Kong from warehouse receipt for a different destination.
Send your procurement brief
Include the equipment list, quantity, destination and responsible purchasing contact. Request a private channel for sharing your BOM or supporting documents.
